The PGA Jr. League is coming to Paradise Valley! The goal of this program is to foster teamwork, skill development, sportsmanship, and introduce the game of golf in a fun inclusive environment. There will be 8 practices (once a week) and 6 matches. For Juniors age 7-13.

Week 1: Welcome & Team Building

• Theme: Introduction to Junior Program & Rules
• Activities:
• Meet the coaches and teammates
• Icebreaker games (putting relays, team trivia)
• Safety & basic etiquette
• Skill Focus: Grip, stance, posture

Week 2: Short Game Fundamentals

• Theme: Putting & Chipping
• Activities:
• Station-based putting and chipping drills
• Games: Ladder putting, target chipping
• Team challenge: “Up & down” relay
• Skill Focus: Distance control, aim, and green reading
• Wrap-up: Short 3-hole putting match

Week 3: Iron Play

• Theme: Approach Shots
• Activities:
• Setup and swing fundamentals with irons
• Game: Closest-to-pin from 50–100 yards
• Skill stations: Alignment, ball striking
• Skill Focus: Tempo, solid contact, shot direction
• Wrap-up: 3-hole team match from forward tees

 Week 4: Driving & Tee Shots

• Theme: Distance & Accuracy
• Activities:
• Tee box strategy and driving mechanics
• Trackman numbers review
• Long drive competition (age-adjusted)
• Skill Focus: Club path, face control, ball position
• Wrap-up: 3-hole scramble with emphasis on tee shots

Week 5: Rules & On-Course Strategy

• Theme: Course Management
• Activities:
• Interactive rules scenarios (penalty areas, drops, pace of play)
• Strategy stations

– club selection, reading the hole

• Mini lesson: Playing from different lies
• Skill Focus: Smart decision-making
• Wrap-up: 3-hole team match with focus on rule application

Week 6: Mid-Season Skills Challenge

• Theme: Fun Competition Day
• Activities:
• Skills stations: Long drive, putting, chipping, bunker shot
• Leaderboard challenge with prizes
• Parents invited to spectate
• Skill Focus: Reinforcement of weeks 1–5

Week 7: Team Match Play

• Theme: Team Tournament Prep
• Activities:
• 3-hole team scramble match (3-person teams)
• Focus on communication, pace of play, scoring
• Coaching on-course
• Skill Focus: Competitive etiquette, strategy
• Wrap-up: Post-round team huddle, highlight reels

Week 8: Championship & Celebration

• Theme: Final Matches & Awards
• Activities:
• 3-hole team championship scramble
• Family & friends invited
• End-of-season awards: MVP, Most Improved, Team Spirit
• Wrap-up: Pizza party, photo session, certificate

In-House matches will be scheduled beginning week 4.
